To date, only a limited number of BL-6b-KNT-Ni Black Knights have been completed, which are being assigned to the most qualified Black Knight pilots amongst our ground forces. This has also allowed Project Workshop engineers to improve the armor protection of the Black Knight Ni to 14.5 tons, while adding an additional double heat sink. While loss of both side torsos will cause sufficient damage to shut down a Light fusion engine, loss of only a single side torso, unlike the Star League XL engine, will not disable a BattleMech. A compromise between the standard XL engines of the Star League, the more advanced XL engines of the Clans, and a standard fusion engine, the Light fusion engine is 75% the mass of a standard engine, but less bulky than an Star League XL engine. One key element of the BL-6b-KNT-Ni is the new Light fusion engine. ![]() This makes the weapon already a straightforward swap for any existing ER PPCs, but Project Workshop engineers have gone a step further, integrating the modular equipment mountings seen in the Mercury and Mercury II BattleMechs to make field replacements and future upgrades faster and easier to complete. Building upon the Wolverine's Enhanced PPC, which exhibited a 30% power throughput improvement over the SLDF's standard PPC or ERPPC, the IEERPPC improves damage output further still, to a full 50% greater than the SLDF ER PPC, while maintaining the same volumetric, mass and thermal profile. Our new BL-6b-KNT-Ni builds upon this Royal foundation, keeping the majority of systems intact, but replacing the ER PPC with a more capable Improved Enhanced ER PPC. While the BL-6-KNT was a capable BattleMech, the far less common Royal variant, the BL-6b-KNT built upon this foundation, upgrading the cooling system to double heat sinks, the Black Knight's lance-like PPC to an extended-range version, and the large lasers to pulse models, for more effective close-range combat. However, with the advanced technology the Wolverines have provided, and our own engineers have built upon, the model of Black Knight, the BL-6b-KNT-Ni is a force to be reckoned with. Future premiums are being re-sourced.Targeting & Tracking System: TransComm Beta w/ Beagle Active ProbeĮven prior to the arrival of the SLDF remnants of Clan Wolverine, the Niops Association had the capacity to produce the BL-6-KNT Black Knight, which formed one of the mainstays of our combat forces. NOTE: This item will be discontinued after this release, as the manufacturer has shifted away from its previous plans. ![]() Watch for a CGL store survey this week to help us gauge interest in this, and other awesome new products! Supply is very limited, so orders are currently restricted to one model per person. We are working with the supplier to provide more of these premium models as quickly as possible. It comes unassembled and unpainted - and includes multiple optional parts (3 hands, 3 arms, 3 legs), allowing you to decide from dozens pf poses! This premium variant, featured on the cover of the Battle of Tukayyid, uses new modeling techniques being employed to update all BattleMech designs. ![]() Wielding a special sword-shaped hatchet and an all-energy weapons array, this BattleMech proved effective in thwarting the Invading Clans' quest for Terra. The Com Guards created a special version of the Black Knight - known as the 'Clanbuster' - to face the Clans on Tukayyid.
